Engineering course

Drilling Engineering

Overview

Introduces the terminology, concepts, processes and equipment used to drill oil and gas wells, and the planning process drilling engineers follow, so participants can initiate a well plan and well design.

Participants learn to identify rig components, make simple rig sizing calculations, and describe drilling fluids, bit selection, directional plans and drilling tools, along with cost estimating, well control fundamentals and key industry standards.
